Regular schedule

• Sunday Feast — chanting begins around 12:30 PM, followed by class and a full vegetarian feast. The week's main public program.
• Wednesday — Outdoor chanting, look here for dates and locations as they are decided.

While most of the congregation is currently Indian diaspora, locals and newcomers from other backgrounds are warmly welcomed and the temple has an ongoing initiative to increase congregation diversity.

ISKCON Detroit at the Devasadan Mandir

Long-running temple in a historical building selected and blessed by Śrīla Prabhupāda, and purchased by his disciples. Features Stephen Knapp (Śrīnandanandana Prabhu), well-known author and direct Śrīla Prabhupāda disciple, recipient of Padma Shri Award from the Government of India.

What to expect at a temple

ISKCON and ISKCON-aligned Kṛṣṇa Conscious temples serve as living reservoirs of the recommended daily practice schedule Śrīla Prabhupāda established. They are active facilities full of singing, dancing, learning, cooking, and cleaning. Daily programs include kīrtan, classes, and several offerings of prasādam. Most facilities maintain an open-door policy with posted operating hours.

Although donations are welcome, you will not be pressured for money, commitment, or personal information. You will always be free to come, observe, and leave whenever you wish.
